Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 22 July 2026

These terms govern your purchase and use of Stock Watcher. By buying a licence or using the software, you agree to them.

Please read this part if you read nothing else. Stock Watcher is a read-only tool. It displays information from your broker accounts and public exchange data. It cannot place orders, cancel orders, or move money, and it does not provide investment advice. Every investment decision you make is entirely your own.

1. What the software is

Stock Watcher is a desktop application for macOS and Windows that connects to your Indian broker accounts using each broker's own official read-only API, and shows your holdings, valuations, dividends, transactions, alerts and public IPO information in one place.

We are an independent software vendor. We are not a broker, exchange, investment adviser, research analyst or portfolio manager, and we are not registered with SEBI in any such capacity.

2. Your licence

When you buy, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Stock Watcher, limited by the tier you purchased:

VersionYou may connect
Liteup to 5 broker accounts
Businessup to 20 broker accounts
Prounlimited broker accounts

The licence is a one-time purchase for that version, including updates we release for it. It is issued to you and is not for resale or sharing. You may install it on computers you personally use.

You may not sell, sub-licence, rent or publish your licence key; reverse-engineer, decompile or modify the software; or attempt to bypass its licensing or account limits.

3. Your broker credentials are yours

You are responsible for the access tokens and credentials you enter into the software, and for keeping them secure. They are stored on your own computer and are sent only to your broker.

If you connect an account belonging to another person (for example a family member), you confirm they have knowingly generated those credentials and consented to you viewing their holdings. You are responsible for that permission, not us.

You must comply with your broker's own terms of service and API terms. Brokers may change, restrict or withdraw their APIs at any time, which may stop parts of the software working.

4. Accuracy of information

Prices, valuations, dividends, corporate actions, IPO details and charge estimates come from your brokers and from public third-party sources. They may be delayed, incomplete or wrong. Charge figures shown in the software are estimates; the authoritative amounts are on your broker's contract note.

Do not rely on Stock Watcher as your only source of truth for any financial decision. Always confirm with your broker.

5. Not investment advice

Nothing in the software or on this website is investment, financial, legal or tax advice, or a recommendation to buy or sell any security. Investing in securities carries risk, including loss of capital. Past performance does not indicate future results. Consult a SEBI-registered adviser before investing.

6. No warranty

The software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every broker, system or future change made by a third party.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any trading or investment loss, lost profit, lost data, or indirect or consequential damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the software.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the software is limited to the amount you actually paid for your licence.

8. Payments and refunds

Prices are in Indian Rupees. Payments are processed by Razorpay; we do not handle or store your card or banking details. Refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

9. Not affiliated

Stock Watcher is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Groww, Zerodha, Upstox, Dhan, Angel One, NSE, BSE or any other broker or exchange. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.

10. Termination

We may suspend a licence that has been shared, resold, or used to attempt to bypass licensing limits. You may stop using the software at any time; uninstalling removes it and its local data from your computer.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India shall have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
